Fiji is an excellent choice for an adventure holiday. The main island of Viti Levu has a number of excelent adventures including 4WD tours into the remote interior with overnight options staying in traditional villages. The Navua River on the south coast of Viti Levu is an excellent place to go for river trips and waterfall hikes and further into the mountains you can white water raft on the Lua River. Another great adventure is visiting and staying overnight at Navala Village in the highlands of Viti Levu about 2 hours inland from Nadi Airport. Navala Village has over 200 traditional thatch houses and with its mounatin backdrop and river front it makes a stunning location. There are great mountain hikes with sweeping views as well as bilibili trips along the Ba River. Another good base for adventure holidays is at Nataleira Village on the east coast of Viti Levu. Set alongside a black sand beach, this is a great place to immerse yourself into traditional lifestyle and culturte of the local Fijians as well as exploring the stunning surrounding countryside.

Taveuni in the northern Islands is another great destination for an adventure holiday. Known as the Garden Island, Taveuni has lush tropical rain forest with a great many waterfalls, endemic birds and several National parks with walking trails. For those who like nature, this is the place to go.
